Juvenile Crime
Being accused of a crime by the government is frightening enough as an adult, let alone as a child. Representing juveniles in criminal defense matters requires a separate base of knowledge and a separate perspective than representing an adult in the criminal justice process.
Juvenile offenses are governed by a different body of Texas law than adult offenses. The Texas Family Code controls matters rather that the Texas Penal Code or Code of Criminal Procedure. Many of the common or otherwise appropriate principles or strategies in representing adult defendants go out the window when representing juveniles. Crowl & Crowl has the unique experience necessary in representing juveniles in criminal matters and understand how serious the stakes are whenever children find themselves on the wrong side of a criminal accusation in a courtroom.
